Midtown’s Sash exudes sophistication—yes, even in takeout form—that you could only expect from its namesake chef and co-owner, Sash Simpson. Menu offerings are very similar to what you’d might expect if you were dining at one of the restaurant’s white linen-clad tables, and everything is expertly prepared with the same finesse and attention to detail, from the crave-worthy truffle fries to the pearly white seared diver scallops. You’ll see plenty of fresh seafood on the menu: Nova Scotia lobster, east coast oysters, dover sole, black sea bass, and more. However, there’s something to satisfy everybody’s palates: crispy duck, Madras lamb chops with biryani rice, fresh pasta, chicken supreme, and striploin. If you’re craving some stellar takeout, Sash should be high on your list. Open for takeout Thursday to Saturday.

This Mexican restaurant chain has been expanding across Toronto since it opened in 2011—spreading love one taco at a time. Situated at Yonge and St. Clair, Taqueira is the newest addition to Playa Cabana’s expanding empire. Menu favourites include: al carbon tacos, pollo tinga, skirt steak and shrimp burritos, and some of the most authentic guacamole in the city.
