Madame Marie’s Weekly Roundup: Toronto’s Best Takeout and Delivery During COVID-19 – April 2, 2020

In an effort to support the city’s phenomenal restaurants during COVID-19, I’m spotlighting a few places every week offering delivery and/or takeout.

Check back regularly for Toronto’s freshest picks so you can support local businesses and add some spice to quarantine life! Just in time for the weekend, here are this week’s picks.

The Oxley

121 Yorkville Avenue
(647) 348-1300
theoxley.com

This cozy Yorkville pub will bring its rustic charm to votre cuisine with plenty of grab and go offerings. What’s on the menu? Here are a few highlights: Moroccan chicken tagine with cous cous ($19 per portion), duck confit ($24 per portion) and a tray of frozen meat lasagna ($38) that serves four to six people. And, profits from each lasagna purchase will be donated to Good Shepherd Ministries. How’s that for a do good, feel good story?

The Agora

921 Queen Street West
(416) 901-9022

Make your quarantine dinner planning a breeze with takeout and delivery from Greek marketplace, The Agora.  If you’ve heard of Mamakas Taverna, The Agora is the restaurant group’s grab and go outpost. My takeout meal was a highlight of my week. I indulged in mouthwatering dips, such as Kopanisti (10.50), and happily ate a Chicken & Salad Soulva box ($12.50) while watching Tiger King on Netflix. C’etait parfait!

Miku

105-10 Bay Street
(647) 347-7347

If you’re missing that can’t-get-enough flavour of torched sushi, good news! Miku is offering takeout and delivery through Ritual and UberEats. This sushi institution is famous for aburi sushi, a torching technique that adds a hint of smoky flavour while also sealing in the juicy, savoury taste of the fish. View the menu here – and prepare to salivate!
